   NMVTIS Consumer Access Product Disclaimer
   
   The National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) is an electronic database containing title and brand history for certain vehicles titled in the United States. NMVTIS is designed to serve as a reliable source for vehicle title and branding information; however, it does not include detailed repair histories.

   
   All states, insurance companies, and salvage or junk yards are required by federal law to report data to NMVTIS regularly. Nevertheless, NMVTIS may not contain information on every vehicle because some states have not yet submitted their data. Data updates vary by state—some update in real time as title transactions occur, while others refresh the information every 24 hours or over several days.

   
   Significant prior vehicle damage might not be recorded if an insurance company or state titling agency never declared the vehicle a “total loss” or applied a salvage/junk brand. Conversely, an insurance carrier might be required to report a “total loss” even if the titling agency has not officially branded the vehicle as salvage or junk.

   
   Please note that a vehicle history report is not a substitute for an independent inspection. Before deciding to purchase a vehicle, consumers are strongly encouraged to obtain an independent inspection to check for hidden damage. Approved NMVTIS Data Providers may also offer additional vehicle condition data.

   
   NMVTIS data INCLUDES:
   
   

   • Information from participating state motor vehicle titling agencies.
   • Data on automobiles, buses, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, motor homes, and tractors. Commercial vehicles may not be included if they are managed by separate state agencies, though such records might be added later.
   • Information on “brands” applied to vehicles by state titling agencies. Brand types and definitions vary by state and can provide insights into a vehicle’s condition or prior use.
   • The most recent odometer reading recorded in the state’s title record.
   • Data from insurance companies and auto recyclers, including salvage and junk yards, as required by law since March 31, 2009, including “total loss” information.
   • Information from salvage yards participating in “cash for clunker” programs under the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act of 2009.

   EPICFAXs Vehicle Inspection Report Disclaimer
   
   The Vehicle Inspection Reports prepared by EPICFAXs should not be taken as a recommendation to bid on or purchase a vehicle, as they may not be complete, timely, or accurate. We do not perform appraisals or issue value opinions unless explicitly agreed to in writing at the time of your order. EPICFAXs is not liable for any damages resulting from the use—or non-use—of this information. Any reliance on an EPICFAXs report is entirely at your own risk.

   
   Refund Policy
